Welcome To G in the park

The 'G' in the park came about when several former members of the regiment got together and decided it was about time to have an informal gathering and the result was the birth of 'G' in the park.
This event was first thought about when Kirsty and Tony Posey moved back to Scotland from South of the Border.
Tony, had managed to secure some property with a bit of land enough to hold a regiment, in a little known place of Gamrie in Banffshire.
Each year the event gets bigger and bigger, All this is done by a few dedicated members of the team, any help will be very much appreciated. so if you can help in any way please get intouch with Wullie Gow or Tony Posey, or Pug.
We are now starting the preparations for out Fourth event, and it is getting bigger by the year as the word spreads, please look at the galleries for a quick update on what you have been missing.
Preparations are now underway for "G in the park 2009" the date is still to be confirmed but we think it is likely to be the last weekend in JUNE 2009. Please return to this page for an up date.

The day starts with the march through the town at 1300hrs. The massed bands will lead the old comrades past the Regimental badge at the Gordon School’s arch, finishing at the Castle. On the green in front of the Castle there will be a Regimental tent and arena displays through the afternoon. The massed bands will Beat Retreat at 1700hrs and then the Huntly Ex-Servicemen’s Club will be open for us all evening; meal provided along with normal bar service.
Timings:

This is a unique occasion; never before have bands from all our affiliated regiments performed together and it is right that this should be in Huntly where our Regiment was raised.
